ABOUT
Tatin Editions is a London-based art project disguised as a picnic. At our periodic, performative events, we reimagine the act of eating together as a living artwork, and establish a mobile third space that sits at the intersection of private and public, routine and unconventional.
Rooted in the disruptive ethos of past cultural movements, each gathering is an ephemeral composition - part meal, part performance, part social sculpture. Here, the act of eating together becomes both subject and medium.
Tatin Editions takes two forms. At our impromptu picnics, we appear in unexpected places across the city. Anyone passing by is invited to sit down with us, creating a transient protest of social boundaries and a celebration of the unexpected. Then, seasonally, we create a larger event: a more considered, performative occasion centered around a curated tasting menu and a limited group of invitees. Presenting the most extraordinary version of the humble picnic, we amplify the aesthetic potential of the everyday.
Founded by Holly Jolley and Olivia Zorn, both North London-based artists and collaborators, Tatin Editions grew out of a shared love of art, food, and beauty - almost to the point of inconvenience. With backgrounds spanning design, art direction, photography, and software development, their practice explores how art can exist not only on walls, but between people.

Tatin Editions is all things at once: a small republic adrift in the Atlantic, a 1970s tech corporation with questionable HR practices, a ‘90s publishing house buoyed by nepotism, a political party whose only real agenda is style (possibly guerrilla-funded).
Let lawmakers legislate. Tatin Editions will handle the picnics.
HOW IT WORKS
At our impromptu, public picnics, we set up a picnic with room for any interested passersby to join for food, drinks, and conversation. You won't find us in the expected picnic grounds, more likely in the last places you would suspect. Check our social media for clues about when and where we might pop up.
At our larger-scale, ticketed events, we invite a select group of applicants to attend a dramatically stylised picnic experience. There's no need to bring anything - no paper plates, plastic cutlery, and definitely no standard-issue picnic fare. Guests are treated to a curated tasting menu featuring four courses, sides, and drinks - all thoughtfully designed around seasonal ingredients and artistic inspiration. In a discreet location known only to the attendees, we push the picnic format well beyond its conventional limits.
